Milwaukee's own EXTREME Juggler Marcus Monroe teams up with Ben Seidman- Magic Consultant for Criss Angel's "Mind-Freak" & Luke Jermay, one of the world's most prolific mind readers!
The Optical Delusions is a brand new comedy-variety show making its Milwaukee debut at Turner Hall on February 7th, 2009. Two Milwaukee natives, juggler Marcus Monroe and magician Ben Seidman, join mind-reader Luke Jermay from London, England, to form The Optical Delusions.
February 7th, 2009 will make you rethink your notions about magic, mind-reading, and juggling. Blending together their respected talents Monroe, Jermay, and Seidman take you on a journey full of laughs, thrills, but most importantly; skill.
“This show is a variety show for the Facebook generation,” commented Monroe. “We asked each other what we would want to see if we were the ones sitting in the audience. I couldn’t be happier with the dynamic of the show.”
Marcus Monroe, 23, was dubbed: “the rockstar of jugglers” by the New York Press. He has appeared on over 30 national TV shows and has opened for some of biggest names on the charts. Marcus is the creator of the knorch: a knife and torch juggling combination, which quite frankly, is awesome. Despite his rising stardom in NYC, Marcus flies home every year to bring down the house at Summerfest.
Ben Seidman, 24, is a pop wizard who combines a sharp wit with even sharper sleight of hand. Ben is the House Magician at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. His residency on the Vegas strip follows a 3-season engagement as magic consultant for Criss Angel’s Mindfreak on A&E. Ben’s 2008 DVD release ‘iVanish’ skyrocketed to the number one selling magic DVD for 2008.
Luke Jermay, 23, can read your mind. As the author of over 38 books on his craft, Luke has made quite a name for himself in the world of mind-reading and mentalism. He has countless appearances on international television from the BBC to RT1 as well as A&E. His impressive resume includes sold-out shows at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Luke knows what you are thinking. It’s both hilarious and terrifying.
When these three young men hit the stage, the bar will be raised and history will be made. You will not look at variety performance the same, ever again.
